Synopsis
A rural town close to a fishing port. At a small local supermarket, a middle school girl, Kanon (Ao Ito), attempts to shoplift. Kanon is blamed by the store manager, Aoyagi (Tori Matsuzaka), and while trying to escape, she is hit by a car and dies... Soeda (Arata Furuta), a father who lost his daughter, is determined to clear his innocence and meets Aoyagi, Kanon's homeroom teacher Imai (Shuri), and the driver who hit Kanon (Masumi Nomura). He gets into a fight with his mother (Reiko Kataoka) and others, and involves his ex-wife Shoko (Tomoko Tabata), his apprentice fisherman Nogi (Kisetsu Fujiwara), part-time supermarket clerk Sokabe (Shinobu Terashima), and even the media and onlookers. This develops into a commotion.
