Synopsis
Daniel Malloy, an ambitious young writer, begins interviewing Louis, a black-haired young gentleman who calls himself a vampire. Louis begins to tell the story of his life, which spans 200 years. America at the end of the 18th century. Louis, a French immigrant and farm owner, is desperate after losing his beloved wife and daughter. One day, she meets a bewitching man who calls himself Lestat. He was a vampire with eternal life. Lestat bites Louis' neck and sucks his blood, forcing him to choose between dying or living together. Louis then chooses to live as a vampire, but that is the beginning of his suffering...
