Immigration: A nightmare that is not unrelated to travelers - share it before the summer holidays

Diego (Alberto Ammann), a Venezuelan, and Elena (Bruna Cussi), a Spaniard, arrive at New York airport from Barcelona, Spain, to emigrate. The two are in a common-law marriage, and the reason they decided to emigrate this time is because Elena won an immigrant visa in the green card lottery.

The two are excited as they set foot in their new home, but things take a turn for the worse at Upon Entry. After checking their passports, the immigration officer instructs them to be taken to a separate room for intense questioning. They never imagined that this would have such an impact on the trust between Diego and Elena.

Low-budget, fast-paced films take the world by storm

Filmed in just 17 days, this low-budget film, with a production budget of $650,000, garnered attention at the Independent Spirit Film Festival and South by Southwest Film Festival, and earned a 100% fresh rating from critics on the review aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes. The biggest buzz is that Upon Entry(23), the directorial debut of Venezuelan directors Alejandro Rojas and Juan Sebastian Vázquez, is based on the true story of the two Venezuelans who actually experienced passing through US customs.

Perhaps that's why the descriptions of the situations are simple yet full of reality, and for travel lovers, especially those who have been to the United States or are planning to enter the country, it's something that is not entirely unrelated to them. I would like to explain this by following the flow of the interrogation that awaits Diego and Elena.
