At that time, Beerus said no.

The person that ``Flashdance'' mania would like to thank the most is the lead actress, Jennifer Beals. After auditioning for the role of Alex, Beals beat out his rivals Demi Moore and Leslie Wing, who were both finalists, and quickly rose through the ranks. Naturally, it seemed like she would go the Cinderella girl route, but when she was approached to appear in the sequel with a high salary, surprisingly, she flatly refused.

At that time, she replied: ``I have no interest in making money or making a name for myself.I think the agency was in a panic as the opportunity to make money was gone.'' As a result, a sequel was never produced, and a Broadway musical opened in 2001 with the same composer as the film, Giorgio Moroder, but it was closed due to unpopular reviews. The new version, which opened in London in 2008, closed earlier than expected after 16 weeks of performances.

What would have happened if Jennifer Beals had accepted the role and a sequel had been made? By day, she worked as a welder at a steel mill in Pittsburg, and by night she danced at the city's clubs. Alex chases his dream of becoming one. No matter how you look at it, the story of her falling in love with the factory manager and finally seizing the Being There is out of this world. However, when the perfect music and edgy visuals are mixed in at the right time, the audience can forget reality for a moment and indulge in a short dream to their heart's content, knowing that this is an impossible story.

If possible, I would like to experience the magic that only movies can offer once. I can only be grateful for Beerus' fearless decision-making, which ultimately increased the purity of ``Flashdance''.
