Synopsis
At the end of the 13th century, Padmavati, a princess of the Kingdom of Singhal, fell in love with Ratan Singh, the king of the small West Indian kingdom of Mewar, and became his wife. At the same time, in northern India, Ala-ud-Din, a young military commander who assassinated his uncle, became the sultan of a Muslim country. Fierce and ambitious, he expanded his power to the point where he was nicknamed the second Alexander the Great.However, he heard rumors of the unparalleled beauty Padmavati and sent troops to Mewar. Due to the strong walls and the resistance of Ratan Singh, the proud Rajput king, Padmavati was not even allowed to be seen.
