The sensibility of comedians and the affinity of omnibus movies

Q: I was particularly impressed by ``Yashii Hito'' (starring Kana Kurashina/Yoshimi Tokui), whose script was written by broadcast writer Mitsusei Takasu. It's a world that could only exist as an omnibus movie, including the way it ends.

Kaminatsuiso: I was surprised that Mr. Takasu was able to write such a style of work, and I was truly impressed by the amount of effort and deep generosity of top creators. .

Q: Director Shinagawa's ``SENTO'' (starring Hannya/Ryuji Akiyama) is the work with the strongest comedy flavor, so it's fun.

Kanatsuiso: Mr. Shinagawa is a professional film director, so he accepted the offer after he had a clear idea in his mind, ``What points should I compete with this time? Where should I have the most fun?'' I think. I think they had a clear vision from the beginning: ``This is a fun way to play for 10 minutes at this point.''

Q: Are there any episodes that particularly left an impression on you as a producer?

Kaminatsuiso: It's interesting that all the works are bursting with individuality to the point where you wonder, ``Why is there such a lack of unity?'' I think we took full advantage of the omnibus film system. This time, I was impressed by the talent of Director Soshina, who is writing his first screenplay and directing this movie. I believe he is a person who will lead the Japanese entertainment world in the future.

Q: I believe this is your first time doing editing work, Soshina-san?

Kaminatsuiso: I think this was my first experience editing a film, but I didn't feel any hesitation or confusion. I thought that nothing would change at all, just that the platform for ``creating interesting things'' moved from manzai and comedy to movies. As an omnibus, I can only imagine how the previous work will lead to my work, how it will pass to the next work, and how it will create an ending for my work. I think he must have thought about that.

Q: When I hear that story, it makes me think of yose. Do you feel like you're adjusting your own material while considering the balance with the material of the comedians before and after you?

Kanatsuiso: I think so. This time, in the theater called ``1 Meter Radius'', 8 pairs with strong personalities are a little worried about the material of other performers who are appearing on the same day, but in the end, they decide that they are the most interesting. I think each of them gave an interesting performance as if to say they were going to do what they wanted.
