CINEMORE recommends! We'll be screening the Christmas movie masterpiece, "Holdovers"! The venue is "Rojiura Bunka Kaikan C/NE," just a 3-minute walk from Gakugei-daigaku Station. Take off your shoes and enjoy the movie together in a relaxed atmosphere. Food and drinks will be provided. There will also be an after-talk session after the screening! Please feel free to join us.

Holdovers

In 1970, at Burton School, a boarding school near Boston, a disliked archaeology teacher, a rebellious student, and a cook who lost his son in the Vietnam War remain at school during the Christmas holidays. Their relationships, though initially at odds, gradually begin to change. Director Alexander Payne's meticulous, delicate direction, woven like a delicate thread, and the superb performances of the cast combine to create a bittersweet and deeply moving film.
