" Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy " and " Skyfall ". I previously saw these two works, which have completely different tastes, in a double feature at Waseda Shochiku. It was so interesting to see the differences and contrasts that stood out because I watched them one after another. I was able to compare them, and as I've written so far, I also thought that there were Harry Potter cast members everywhere. I think placing them side by side brings out the best in both. Although the two films are completely different, they share the same spy theme and seem to be tied together by a great cast connected to the magical world. I really like British culture, which encompasses both the brutal world of espionage and the mysterious world of magic (though it's also sometimes brutal).

At the end of Skyfall, Bond is presented with M's belongings. It is a bulldog made of ceramic made by Royal Doulton. A bulldog wearing a Union Jack, also known as Jack, was placed on M's desk and also around Control's desk in ``Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy''. You could say it's an essential item for anyone holding a public office. Although they are different works, they depict the same world of British spies from different directions. It feels like the only figurine of a national dog is a link between them.
