This live-action film adaptation of Barbie unfolds a powerful story beyond imagination, with a stunning production design completely colored in pink. Director and screenwriter Greta Gerwig respects Barbie's worldview, but explores it from a completely new perspective and depicts it in a modern way.

August 13th is Alfred Hitchcock's birthday. Hitchcock, who had been lackluster since the mid-1960s, decided to make a fresh start and leave Hollywood, and filmed ``Frenzy'' (1972) in his native England for the first time in 22 years. This film brought back Hitchcock's original lively directorial techniques by incorporating Hitchcock's signature motifs such as ``serial murder'' and ``the mistaken man,'' and was hailed as Hitchcock's comeback work.
