“Get on Up” Synopsis
James spent his childhood in a poor environment, trying his best to survive. In such an environment, he repeatedly commits theft and ends up in prison. However, it was there that he discovered his best friend and music. After James is released from prison, he begins to make a living as a musician and rises to prominence. However, various obstacles stand in his way, including friction with the members, his relationship with his mother who abandoned him, and racial discrimination.

James Brown's name means soul. He is exactly what the Japanese title of this work suggests. He made his debut in 1953 and has many nicknames, including ``The Godfather of Soul'' and ``Soul Brother Number One,'' which indicate that James Brown is soul.
There are many legends surrounding James Brown. Of course, he is not just a legend, he has left behind great achievements and accomplishments in the American music world, and it is no exaggeration to say that we cannot talk about American music without him. This work is a film adaptation of the legend and life of such a great musician.

Chadwick Boseman, who starred in ``42' ' (13) and `` Black Panther '' (18), will play James Brown. The director is Tate Taylor, who directed “The Help ” (2011). Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones , who is also involved in one of James Brown's legends (more on that later), is also listed as a producer.
