Chemical reactions created by unique casts

The cast includes many unexpected members. Although there are few scenes in which he co-stars with Cage, it seems that John Cusack, who is in a sense a close bond with him, was initially reluctant to appear in the film. However, I think that this sense of reluctance actually made the work more interesting. Also worth watching is John Malkovich, who creates a surprisingly intelligent villain with a reptilian charm. He came all the way from France to appear in the film, and gave the film an indescribable charm with his highly impromptu acting full of expletives.

There's Ving Rhames, who is well-known for his role in the Mission: Impossible series, and Danny Trejo, who has actually lived in prison. All of them have quirks that will make movie fans wonder. Even so, if you were to ask who was the most spice in this movie, it would be Steve Buscemi, who even back then made us grin in ` `Reservoir Dogs '' (1992) and `` Fargo '' (1996). Screenwriter Rosenberg apparently wrote this role specifically for Buscemi, who was friends with him. The scene where he appears wearing a unique restraint device is terrifying, with a strangeness that is reminiscent of Hannibal Lecter in ``The Silence of The Silence of the Lambs .''

According to Rosenberg, the scene in which Buscemi interacts with the girl is an homage to the monster and girl in Frankenstein. As a result, the flow of tension reversing into a hilarious climax may be the sequence that leaves the most impression on everyone when they look back on it later.
