Synopsis
new york. One night, a young black man was beaten unconscious in front of an upscale bar in the city. Detective John Shaft arrests the culprit, Walter Wade Jr., but Walter, the son of a famous real estate tycoon, is released on bail every time he is arrested, relying on his father's financial and political power. Determined to carry out justice on his own, Shaft quits his job as a police officer and fights alone as his life is threatened by vengeful Walter, a drug lord from Harlem, and a corrupt cop who was an old colleague.
