A story so intense that you can't return to reality

Beauty and ugliness appeal so strongly that it destroys the brainstem. Even after watching it, the pungent smell still lingers.

It's a story so toxic that it erodes parts of reality.

The film `` Border '' (2018), which was written and written by Jon Eyvide Lindqvist, the original author of ``Let the Right One In '' (2008), will be screened at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival. It is a much-talked-about film that won the Grand Prix in the viewpoint category, beating out ` `Girl '' (2018) and `` Forever Mine '' (2018) (by the way, ``Shoplifters'' won the Palme d'Or).

In addition to the ``tranquil beauty'' and ``inorganic brutality'' characteristic of Scandinavian films, the film is layered with layers of nauseating ``rawness,'' making it impossible to escape, as if lost in a deep forest.

As of October 10th, it has maintained a high score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, America's largest movie review site. Variety wrote, "It transcends genre boundaries, deftly mixing romance, Scandinavian noir, social realism, and fantasy," while Wall Street Journal wrote, "It transports you to unforgettable places." All the leading newspapers praised his strong worldview.

“Border” preview

Director Guillermo del Toro, who also loves ``Let the Right One In,'' which has the same original work and screenplay, said, ``This is a powerful poem.It is about a person who has been abandoned by society and is forced to choose between love and anger in life.'' A fairy tale for adults.'' This work has been rated R18+ in Japan, and some people may have already been captivated by it after seeing a glimpse of it in the trailer.

By the way, I would like you to pay attention to the studio as well. NEON, which distributed ``Border '', has also released ``Synchronized Monster'' (2016), ``I, Tonya '' (17), ``REVENGE'' (17), and ` `Colossal '' (2016), ``Revenge'' (2017), and ``Synchronized Monster'' (2016), ``Revenge'' (2017), and ``Synchronized Monster'' (2016), ``Revenge'' (2017), and ``Synchronized Monster'' (2016), ``Revenge'' (2017), and ` `Synchronized Monster'' (2016), ``Revenge'' (2017), and ``Synchronized Monster '' (2016), ``Revenge'' (2017), and ``Synchronized Monster'' (16), ``I, Tonya: The Biggest Scandal in History'' (2017), and ``Revenge'' (17). "Vox Lux" (2018), "Portrait of a Lady on Fire" (2019), which won the Best Screenplay Award at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival Competition, and which also won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He has released many edgy works to the world, including the latest work by the brilliant director Bong Joon- Parasite '' (2019). If you look at these works, you can easily guess which zone this film belongs to.

Another thing that stands out is that she was nominated for Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the 91st Academy Awards. It was nominated alongside ` `Vice '' (2018) and ``The Two Queens '' (2018), which is very unusual for a Swedish-Danish film, but it's understandable if you look at the staff. Göran Lundström and Pamela Goldamar are popular stars who are active in Hollywood, including the `` Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows '' two-part series (10-11) and `` The Game of Thrones '' (11-19). The two skilled actors created vivid visuals for the main character and the antagonist.

Visuals, design, theme, story... In many aspects, this film exudes a unique "color" not seen in previous films, and as director del Toro praised, " The Shape of Water " It also covers the modernity of ``the story of the downtrodden and the downtrodden,'' which is similar to (17). It is fundamentally different from just a ``cruel and beautiful'' fairy tale.
