The atmosphere is friendly and playful, but deep down there is an unwavering belief.

Actor Takumi Saito is planning and producing the movie as filmmaker Takumi Saito, and director Yasuhiko Shimizu, who has co-produced many works including `` MANRIKI '' (19), collaborates for the first time on his feature directorial debut, `` blank13 '' (18). The movie ``Until Curry and Rice is Made That Day,'' in which he collaborated with Lily Franky, is currently being shown in theaters nationwide.

This work is a 52-minute solo play. The past and feelings of Kenichi (Lily Franky), a lonely man who spends his time in his apartment on a rainy night, are gradually unraveled. A story that stimulates the audience's imagination, ambitious direction, and Lily's deep, masterful performance are all simmered like curry, and by the end, a dish that truly sinks into your heart has been completed.

A collaboration between the three, following the drama ``Pension Love is Momoiro'' (20). By continuing to create works, they aim not only to make each work interesting as a "dot" but also to achieve innovation as a "line". Fun, small, but serious... We asked him about his thoughts on creative activities.

Takumi Saito doesn't talk about creativity head-on

Q: Each of you has collaborated on many works, but is it the first time in a while that the three of you have been together?

Lily: Yes. I think I've known Director Shimizu since filming ``Until Curry and Rice Was Made That Day.''

Shimizu: I went to England. The film's ``This is what it feels like now'' video was viewed while communicating between Japan and the UK.

Lily: (Saito) My work with Takumi overlaps quite a lot, and this year we're pretty close. There was a scene where I smelled Kou's body odor every day (lol). It smells really good. It's like a baby (lol).

Saito: That's the first time I've heard that... (lol)

Lily: I don't know if this person is insensitive or if I'm just able to ignore his presence, but even if I get very close to him and smell him, he doesn't even notice (lol).

Saito: Lily-san can completely eliminate any presence. This is a way to erase the aura of criminals (lol).

Lily: (laughs).

“Until the curry and rice is ready that day” Takumi Saito (Planning/Production)

Q: I can see how close the three of you are, but what do you usually talk about? Do you talk a lot about manufacturing?

Lily: I often talk with Mr. Shimizu about filming.

Shimizu: In fact, I can't talk about it until I've filmed it... (lol)

Lily: Shimizu-san has a different kind of communication disorder than Kou-kun. I'm talkative when it comes to photography, but I stutter when it comes to other things (lol).

Kou-kun is the complete opposite; he gets embarrassed when we talk about creation in private. It's like they don't want to talk about it head-on, or rather, they want to get there by taking detours.

Saito: There are different types of communication disorders on both sides of Lily (lol).

Lily: So, when we take a detour and try to talk about something creative, before we can get to the main topic, someone from the set calls out, "Please!" and one of us disappears (lol).

Saito: I don't always get there... (lol)
