Q: Mr. Shito is involved in the production this time as both the original author and the communication director. There are other people in the position of animation directors, but please tell us about their respective roles.

Shito: This time there are four people with the title of director. Animation director Takana Shirai, who is responsible for drawing the entire anime (main production), and creative director Kazuya Sakamoto, who is responsible for formulating the blueprint of the anime (pre-production) (Leiden Film Kyoto Studio) ), Tetsuhei Mishima was the location director who was responsible for coordinating the locations, and I was in charge of the communication area (post-production), which contained the lines and music and coordinated the publicity, and I was in charge of that as the communication director.

I was in charge of the original work because I had a background as a copywriter, but if you can't draw pictures in the first place, you can't start. At that time, I decided to ask Shirai-san to be the animation director, and I had known her a long time ago. A while back, we had an event project called ``Studio 4℃ x Kyoto Seika University,'' where my girlfriend, who was an art college student at the time, won the grand prize in a competition The Graduate anime. About 8 years have passed The Day After joined Studio 4℃, but when I spoke to her for the first time in a while, she told me that she was about to leave the studio after completing the work she was working on at the time, and was still thinking about what to do next. ``Then let's do it together!'' So he decided to join this work.

However, although she was an animator at Studio 4℃, she had not yet become a director and had never created a story from scratch. At that time, Mr. Sakamoto, who I had met by chance, offered to help me with pre-production.

Q: Did Mr. Shito and Mr. Shirai work together on the production, such as the dubbing?

Shito: That's right. Shirai and I took the lead in working together as both the original author and the director. These two people were attentive to all aspects of the process, not just the dubbing.
