One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
review
Synopsis
One day in September 1963, a man was brought to the Oregon State Psychiatric Hospital. Randall P. McMurphy. He pretended to be a madman to escape forced labor in prison. But the situation in psychiatric hospitals was even more dire. It was run by a head nurse who ruled with absolute authority, and the patients were treated as lethargic people. As McMurphy tries to rebel against the hospital through various means, the patients gradually begin to regain their hearts. The hospital, feeling threatened by his actions, begins electroshock therapy, but McMurphy also begins planning an escape.
