The “origin” of the master craftsman responsible for the modern film world

In 2005, a director made his feature debut at the Sundance Film Festival, known as a gateway to success for young filmmakers, to the enthusiastic blessings of the audience. His name is Rian Johnson, and he stands on stage wearing jeans and a sweater, his hands shyly in his pockets. From now on, he will continue to accumulate solid reviews with each of his films, and 12 years later, he will become the director of `` Star Wars: The Last Jedi '' (2017). At that time, he had no way of knowing about the bright path that would lead him to the future.

“Brick” preview

In the end, ``Brick'' was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize. For Johnson, who spent eight years working on this film, it received such high praise that he was rewarded with change, and by receiving the "certification" from Sundance, he was able to change his life, which had no clear future ahead of him until now. Light suddenly came in. Without this work, there would be no success later on. Just like the title, this work served as an important building block for his career, just like bricks.
