“The Intolerance that cannot be filled” in a perfectly constructed world

There are too many things that cannot be seen or heard in order for the viewer to understand the whole picture. This film is particularly memorable for its depiction of darkness, and if we were to compare it to that, we would say, ``There is a great deal of darkness in this movie.'' He created a world with an overwhelming power of construction, and asked the actors to thoroughly realize it - according to lead actor Zhang Cheng, he was not allowed to change even the punctuation of the lines in the script. As a director, Edward Yang removed information about the world he had created.

Of course, you can reason with it. The viewer's imagination will be able to complete this world by filling in the questions in the story that I mentioned earlier, as well as the words that cannot be seen or heard. (It's not like it's not stuck at all). Even so, at some point you will come across a Intolerance that cannot be filled. There is a mystery surrounding this incident that will never be solved. The process may be similar to the imaginary journey that Edward Yang took regarding a real-life murder case that occurred in 1961.

Long shots of people from afar appear throughout the film ``A Brighter Summer Day.'' It's as if we're throwing people into a wide world and watching them. At the same time, it seems to remind us that what we can see is only a small part of this vast world.

Just before his death, Komei tells Koushi, who is trying to keep her within arm's reach, "You're being selfish. Just like this world, I won't change." As she said, if the world is like her, then it is only natural that she will not be able to understand everything in this world, just like Xiaosi was unable to understand Xiaoming to the end. I feel Edward Yang's reverence for people and the world in that he never gives easy understanding.
