Loneliness and being alone are not the same thing.
Lucky
review
Synopsis
Lucky, a 90-year-old man who has lived his life without believing in God, wakes up in his apartment alone today, drinks coffee, and smokes a cigarette. Drinking Bloody Marias at the usual bar and spending time with familiar customers. As he goes about his daily life, he suddenly realizes that the end of his life is approaching, and begins to think about death. The darkness he was afraid of as a child, his lost pet turtle, and a Japanese girl who smiled despite the devastation of war -- Lucky comes to realize this through his interactions with the people of his small town.
