Movies about women/actors

"When you see someone in the office, you can tell how they behave in front of the camera, especially through their body language." "It's like a portrait of an actor. It's a movie made for them.'' (Eric Rohmer)*2

When filming `` The Green Ray '' (1986), the decision to hire a female crew to relieve the anxiety of Marie Rivière, the lead actress, may have had a considerable influence on Eric Rohmer's creative work. The group, which included Eric Rohmer, was named ``Le Club des Cins'' (The Group of Five). Following the ``Comedy and Proverbs'' series shot in the 1980s, the ``Season's Story'' series captures the lives of women in a way that is more inseparable from the actors. Even the only exception in the series, `` Summer Story '' (1996), can be interpreted as a story of women passing through youth. A movie for actors. A movie for them. It is suggestive that the ``Season's Story'' series ends with `` Autumn of Love '' (1997), starring Marie Rivière of `` The Green Ray .'' Autumn of life. `` Autumn of Love '' depicts the life of a woman who is no longer young.

“Story of the Four Seasons” preview

``The Story of the Four Seasons'' does not idolize the image of women. Eric Rohmer neither praises nor criticizes any of the characters. I will record only their subtleties with a spirit of empathy and harmony. This attitude of Eric Rohmer has been inherited by Mia Hansen-Love. She lists ``A Tale of Winter'' as her favorite movie. ``Goodbye First Love'' (2011), which depicts a woman suffering from an unforgettable love amidst changing landscapes and endless years, and its variation, `` At Bergman Island '' (21), include You can see the great influence of this work.
