The charm of Deadpool, who is unconventional in every way as an action hero, shines through in this sequel, Deadpool 2. Although there are some changes due to increased production costs, such as the scale of the action, fans will be happy to know that the series is still filled with nonsense gags. It doesn't fall into the trap of lukewarm sequels that try to appeal to a wider generation.
One thing that's noticeably more excessive in Deadpool 2 than in its predecessor is the breaking of the "fourth wall." The attempt to overcome the world on the screen (movie) and the world of the audience watching it (reality) and erase the boundary between the movie and reality was evident in the previous work, with Deadpool speaking to the audience. However, this time, the lines and production that break through barriers are even more accelerated. The names of real-world actors such as Patrick Stewart and Ryan Reynolds appear, and the film takes on the appearance of metafiction. What's even more emphasized is that Deadpool is like a movie director, giving out direction all the time.

When Deadpool says, "Now, here's a song," the music begins to play, and a flashy action scene unfolds to the tune of that song. It almost makes you feel like you're in a musical where you dance along with the music. If you think about it carefully, there is something in common between impossible battle action and the ``unusual feeling'' of a musical that suddenly starts singing and dancing. Whether consciously or unconsciously, ``Deadpool 2'' uses musical works in important parts.
In a pre-release promotional video, Deadpool playfully said, "The sequel is a musical!" Hugh Jackman, who sees Logan as his rival and plays him, was meant to be a ``copy'' of the success of ` `The Greatest Showman '', but it seems that the challenge to create a musical is not 100% a lie. .
