Sara Minami and Ayaka Makita who carved out the “brilliance of 14-year-olds”

The charm of this work is largely due to the two young actresses. Sara Minami, who plays Shino, was born in June 2002 and is a former model. This will be her second film appearance, having made her debut as an actress in 2017's `` A Child Born to Us, '' co-starring Tadanobu Asano and Rena Tanaka. Thanks in part to the cooperation of those involved in interviews and supervision, the actors' anxiety, tension, frustration, and self-loathing are vividly conveyed in the scenes in which they struggle with speech. During the two emotional scenes, he wracked his voice and grimaced, his tears and snot running down his face without even wiping them with his hands or a handkerchief. I imagine that a girl in her mid-teens who also works as a model would have been very reluctant to let her snot drip down in front of the camera, but the director said, ``It's beautiful for an actor to show her true expression.'' He reportedly told them. The director's direction was spot-on, and Minami, who lived up to expectations with her all-out acting, can only be praised.

Ayaka Makita, who plays Kayo, was born in August 2002 and made her debut as a child actress at the age of 7. Director Hirokazu Kore-eda's 2012 TV drama `` Going My Home '' attracted attention, and since then he has become a regular in Kore-eda's works such as ``Deeper than the Sea, ' ' ``The Third Murder ,'' and `` Shoplifters.'' He continues to appear in popular works such as `` Friends ''. Makita had no experience playing the guitar, but after two months of intense training, he improved to the point where dubbing was unnecessary, and in the singing scene, he pulled off a highly difficult performance that touched the hearts of us, the audience, even though he was out of tune with the song. Like Shino, her eyes and facial expressions delicately express the gradual changes in her appearance through Shinokayo's activities.

Minami and Makita were 14 years old when the photo was taken in April 2017. He is one grade younger than Shino and Kayo, but in a world where Japanese movies routinely cast actors in their mid-20s or 30s who don't look like high school students in youth school movies, it's hard to imagine actors who are almost the same age as the characters. This work, which stars actresses and is uncompromising in terms of acting, can be said to be a valuable work. From June to July, we've seen photos of the two taken at events and interviews in conjunction with the release, and it looks like they've matured considerably in the little over a year since the photos were taken. The film's value as a film that captures a moment in the prime of life of two young actresses who will undoubtedly become the next generation of Japanese film industry is also highly recognized.
