Synopsis
Endora, Iowa. Gilbert has never left this small country town in the 24 years since he was born. He has a handicapped younger brother, Ernie, who he must protect, and a mother, Pony, who has become bulimic and has become as large as a ``beached whale'' ever since her husband died. . Gilbert, who works at a grocery store in town and endures complaints from his older sister, has no time to think about what he really wants. One day, a mysterious wind blows through the boring town. It was Becky, a girl who arrived in a silver camper. The faint and sweet romance that blooms between the two through a chance encounter gives Gilbert a moment of peace. . .
