Alma the monster played by Vicki Krieps

One day, after finishing his collection, Reynolds heads to the suburbs where his villa is located to relieve his fatigue. When he goes to a local restaurant for breakfast, a woman catches his eye. She is an immigrant, speaks English with an accent, has a plump body, and is a simple woman who wears no makeup. Alma perfectly memorizes the detailed orders of the difficult Reynolds and responds with a frank smile. Reynolds sees value in her as a model, brings her back to London, and uses her as his signature model. The rough country girl is polished in an instant, and becomes beautiful and beautiful in Reynolds' carefully crafted dresses. In the end, he is courted and even gets the seat of his wife. It's like a Cinderella story.

However, what makes Reynolds happy and not happy is that she has an older sister, Cyril, who works as a co-owner and acts as both a mother figure and a lover. Furthermore, Reynolds himself is a hard shell inside and is unable to build the kind of marital relationship that Alma desires.

Will Alma be able to become Reynolds' right-hand man? PTA is said to have recalled Hitchcock's famous suspense films `` Rebecca '', `` Vertigo '', `` The Cliffs '', and `` Gaslight '' as a way of telling the story. Indeed, there is always a sense of tension in the movie, and it is impossible to predict how this love triangle will turn out. (It is said to be a reflection of the love triangle surrounding Olivia de Havilland's mother's love, as well as the love triangle competing for the love of God in the movie). Hitchcock's films have a sinful style that makes the audience aware of the masochism and reversibility of watching a woman tortured by her fate, but in PTA, Alma, who has been bullied, violently rebels halfway through the film. is interesting. She has no wealth, no outstanding beauty, no education, and no intelligence. By wearing such sparkling dresses, such a woman accumulates excessive confidence and pride, and eventually begins to act like a substitute for a brilliant designer and just like her husband. This is the monster that Dress created, and in other words, the woman that Reynolds created.

Vicki Krieps was chosen to play Alma after an audition. Born in Luxembourg, she is a rising star who studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland, and with her selection in this production, she is on her way to becoming an international star. I take my hat off to her for her ability to play a woman who is not only pretty, but also rivals three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis.
