The spirit of the Rocky series revived by the famous screenwriter Stallone of “Creed II”

Rocky and Robert, the “parent-child story” that was not told in the previous work

What particularly impresses me about the script for ``Creed II'' is that it carefully picks up the gleanings from the previous work, `` Creed. '' For example, the story of Adonis' girlfriend Bianca, a musician, suffering from hearing loss did not develop much in the previous film, but this time it becomes a major opportunity for Adonis and Bianca to move forward in their lives and grow.

The biggest gleaner is probably the episode about Rocky's son Robert. To be honest, if I had any complaints about director Coogler in the previous film, it was that he cut off Rocky and his son Robert. The basic plot of a lonely Rocky becoming a father figure to Adonis, who doesn't know his father, is fine, but for that reason, they decided to set Robert, who had appeared in Rocky 3, to move to Vancouver and become estranged. It happened.

In fact, the story of Robert becoming estranged from his father Rocky as an adult, and eventually reconciling with him and supporting him was vividly depicted in ``Rocky the Final''. However, according to what can be said in a few words in ``Creed,'' Robert later left his hometown of Philadelphia because he did not want to be overshadowed by his great father, Rocky. Now, isn't the parent-child episode of "Rocky the Final" back to the beginning?

As the series continues, there are many instances where characters from previous works are treated with disregard for various adult circumstances. I had no choice but to conclude that Robert's absence in ``Creed'' is one such example. But. For this film, Stallone brought back Milo Vanmilitelli, who played Robert in Rocky the Finale, to bring back the Rocky father-son story, which had been shelved. In a sense, the scene where Rocky and Robert reunite felt like a moment of reconciliation between the ``Creed'' and ``Rocky'' series.

In fact, Stallone was able to add depth to Rocky the Finale by bringing back forgotten characters from previous films. I can't help but imagine that it was because of Stallone that he was able to weave such a big story that encompasses the entire series like this one.
