A youthful splatter where up-and-coming horror movies gather together.

Young people interact and share hardships. This work is not only a horror/splatter film, but also a very well-made "youth film" depicting the activities of teenagers. In " Ready Player One " (18) and " Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle " (17), video The Game(i.e., virtual space) were used to motivate boys and girls to interact and grow, but in the reboot version "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (17) In "Child's Play," Chucky is used as an opportunity for interaction among young people. In that sense, these works have very similar parts.

As mentioned earlier, Andy Barclay is a lonely and shy boy from a single-parent household. His mother, Karen, gives her son a popular Buddy doll from Kaslan as a birthday present. Calling himself Chucky, he is a state-of-the-art doll equipped with high-performance systems such as the latest voice recognition and high-resolution cameras, and gradually becomes a valuable friend to Andy who fills his loneliness.

Through his encounter with Chucky, young Andy develops an outgoing personality and develops friendships with his peers in the neighborhood. If it were to end like this, it would just be a youth movie, but it doesn't end there. Chucky's actions for boy Andy backfire, and his love for the boy turns into jealousy.

Chucky kills people around Andy one after another, and finally tries to get hold of Andy's mother, Karen. In order to face this predicament, Andy and other boys and girls arm themselves and take on the challenge. In terms of young people taking on the object of their fear (in this film, it's Chucky), Stephen King's original work ` `IT/It's Over'' is a great example of how young people take on the object of their fear (in this film, it's Chucky). (17) (in which young people fought against the terrifying object of Pennywise). ``IT'' and the rebooted version of ``Child's Play'' have other things in common from a juvenile perspective. That's no wonder, since this film features IT creators Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.

In addition, up-and-coming Gabriel Bateman, who plays the main character Andy, is a young actor who has a proven track record in horror films such as "Annabelle " (2014) and " Light/Off " (16), and the director is the new horror " Polaroid " (1919). ) (incidentally, ``Polaroid'' will be released on the same day as the rebooted version of ``Child's Play''). The reboot version of ``Child's Play'' can be described as a ``youth splatter'' that brings together the standard-bearers of horror movies.
