Welcome to Compton! ``Straight Outta Compton'' sounds a warning
2019.08.09
The reason for the existence of “Straight Outta Compton”
The film begins with the opening words of the song `` Straight Outta Compton,' ' which has the same title as the movie: ``You're about to witness the greatness of street knowledge.'' What they wanted to convey when they left Compton was the inside story of what was happening in Compton. In an interview, Ice Cube said: ``If you look at the black community as a whole, there are definitely children, even if they are a small number, who can't help but have a gun.My rap is to look at that fact.People. When people bring to light facts that they don't want to see, they are suppressed in various ways.''
In the song "Straight Outta Compton," Eazy-E says, "This is my autobiography." This work is a story that makes the content of their rap easier to understand. Their rap revealed the existence of ``Compton,'' which the media did not want to convey.

The first time I picked up an NWA CD was in high school, and I still remember that moment. I couldn't understand the lyrics at all, which was completely different from the English I learned at school. However, I could tell in every part of his words that he was angry about something, and I wanted to find out. It took me over 20 years to understand their English, background, and Arrival. However, this work instantly and carefully conveys what the audience wants to know, and spreads it to the world. Of course, I still disagree with the lyrics about women and the film's portrayal of women. Ice Cube always raps, "I'm not a role model." Still, it was NWA that made me want to know more. While watching this work, I was reminded of how I felt when I picked up the NWA CD.
Why was an autobiographical film made in 2015, more than 25 years after NWA debuted? There is an important meaning in that. Of course, a large part of the reason is that Ice Cube and Dr. Dre have had individual successes and are interested in audiences. But if you look at the news, things are still much the same as they were when NWA was in Compton. Racial tensions continue to exist in the United States, police respond differently based on race, and innocent people die.

In the NWA documentary film ``NWA: The World's Most Dangerous Group'' (unreleased in Japan in 2008), which was aired on television in the United States, Professor Todd Boyd of the University of Southern California said the following. "Thanks to NWA's rap, the government overlooked the simmering anger that had been exposed and alerted the public. The result was the 1992 riots." So they sounded the alarm again in 2015. However, in 2019, it still seems to be overlooked.
