Satoshi Tsumabuki was a die-hard boy who wanted to be Tamio Okuda
Director Ohno Hitoshi's "A Boy Who Wished to Be Okuda Tamio and a Girl Who Drove All Men Crazy World-wide" is a film adaptation of the comic book of the same name by popular columnist Shibuya Naokaku. The protagonist, Koroki, played by Tsumabuki Satoshi, is a 30-something editor who has moved from a home electronics magazine to a high-end lifestyle magazine called Mare. He admires the musician Okuda Tamio. When Koroki was still a boy, he appeared on Music Station wearing jeans stained with food spills. When Tamori pointed this out to him, he was shocked by how calmly and matter-of-factly he explained the reason without any embarrassment. Since then, he has wanted to become an adult like Okuda Tamio, who is calm and does what he likes without trying to be cool.
But then, when an incredibly cute press girl from a fashion brand, Akari, appears in front of Koroki, he falls in love at first sight and boldly pursues her. It goes well easily, but once they start dating, he becomes very sensitive to the smallest details of her words and actions, reading too much into them and losing his composure. So, what will Koroki do?
The role of Koroki is played by Tsumabuki Satoshi, who is roughly the same age as the director, and is portrayed as a character that is a perfect mixture of patheticness and cuteness. Shibuya, knowing that Tsumabuki was originally known to be a fan of Okuda Tamio, sent him a copy of the book as a gift. After reading the book, Tsumabuki immediately suggested to his office, "How about using this as our next project?" At the same time, director Oone Hitoshi also began working on the idea, thinking, "If anyone is going to adapt this book by Chokaku into a movie, it should be me," and the film got off to a happy start with the cast being decided at a relatively early stage.

Growing up in Kanagawa, Tsukamoto was fascinated by the music program "Music Tomato JAPAN" on TV Kanagawa as a boy, and admired Tamio Okuda who appeared on the show, so he started his own musical career at an early age. Many young audiences today may not know this, but at the age of 20, he made his major debut with the three-piece band "Basking Lite," and performed energetically as the vocalist and bassist in live shows. The following year, the movie " Water Boys ," in which he starred, was a huge hit, and at the same time, it swept all the new movie awards that year, so he decided to pursue acting, but he is a man with a musician's spirit and has a deep relationship with Tamio Okuda. After it was decided that he would star in this film, when Shibuya met him for a meeting, Tsukamoto showed him photos of a pilgrimage to the so-called holy sites related to Tamio Okuda in various places in Hiroshima City, and he was surprised by the depth of the photos, so the role of Koroki was perfect for him.
