anyway this is entertainment

Q: Nowadays, if you just make a movie that depicts the perpetrators of Japanese people, you are sometimes called ``unpatriotic.'' I think this has been a trend for the past 20 years or so.

Mori: A major turning point was the subway sarin attack by Aum Shinrikyo. Japanese society has been stimulated by anxiety and fear, and since the incident occurred in 1995, it has accelerated its collectivization, fueled by security consciousness.

Q: I feel that the media as a whole has become less susceptible to complaints, especially over the past 20 years. I've heard from TV reports that people sometimes react overly sensitively to just one complaint.

Mori: Compliance, governance, and risk hedging. These words have been in circulation for the past 20 years. But organized media is both a company and a journalistic institution. If it were a normal company, it would be impossible to travel to a battlefield, but if you're a media company, you can't avoid that risk. But if security awareness becomes prominent, journalism will take a backseat. Similar to the tendency not to deal with negative history, this element is also present in the current problems of Johnny's and the Unification Church.

Q: I think this film adaptation is significant in that sense as well, but without fear of misunderstanding, it's a superb piece of entertainment, so I hope people will watch it in that sense as well. think.

Mori: I've said that in many places as well. Anyway, this is entertainment.
