“Boxing Helena”…A small revenge on her father

Jennifer Lynch later became a film director and released ``Boxing Helena'' (1993). This is a psychological thriller as radical as her father, in which a man who has an abnormal love for a beautiful woman, Helena, cuts off both her arms and legs and imprisons her.

What is noteworthy is the fact that the heroine, Helena, is played by Sherilyn Fenn, who appeared in Twin Peaks (1990-91). She played the role of Audrey Horne, whose father was the owner of the Great Northern Hotel, and she was the sexy beauty who danced around to get the attention of Agent Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan). In fact, she was also David Lynch's girlfriend at the time.

In ``Eraserhead,'' the girl whose father had pinned her with scissors once committed the crime of severing the limbs of her father's lover, about 15 years later. Is it too far-fetched to think that this is revenge against David who didn't care about him? Whether I like it or not, that kind of suspicion crosses my mind. I can't help but feel like there's a father-daughter relationship there that we ordinary people don't understand.

David Lynch later divorced Peggy. He married actress Emily Stoffle for the fourth time in 2009, and became a father in 2012 at the age of 66. In `` David Lynch: Art Life '' (16), which delves into the secrets of his creation, Lynch is seen happily playing with a small child. The cheerful old man's face never stops smiling, making it hard to believe that he was the man who once stabbed his daughter with scissors.

“In Heaven

Everything is fine

You got your good thing

And I've got mine

Everything will be fine in heaven

For you and me,

Good things will come.”

For Lynch, this world may be heaven.
