Star Trek: The Motion Picture movie synopsis

A huge cloud-like object is coming from the far side of space. The object was headed for Earth, and the only spaceship capable of intercepting it was the Enterprise, which was in an orbital dry dock and was finishing up a refurbishment. Kirk (William Shatner), who was on ground duty, relinquishes command of Captain Decker (Stephen Collins) and takes command of the Enterprise again.

However, the Enterprise still has some problems, and Kirk is unfamiliar with the new ship's systems. However, he refuses to listen to the advice of Decker, who knows this ship well. Then, a problem occurs with the transport device, and Lieutenant Eylea (Persis Khanbatha), who used to have a special relationship with Decker, comes on board to replace the navigator who died in the accident. Eventually, Spock (Leonard Nimoy), who comes aboard the ship, successfully recovers from the ship's malfunctions, and the Enterprise smoothly begins its warp drive.

Meanwhile, Spock secretly goes overboard and attempts to Contact Viger. After Spock is rescued, he explains that Viger is a sentient spacecraft, but like a child, it does not know what it wants.

When Villar finally arrives on Earth, he begins eliminating the parasitic carbon units (humans). Kirk offers information about the Creator, halts the attack, and allows the Enterprise to enter the center of the Villar. What was there was surprising...
