Full-frame IMAX brings visual excitement

If you want to enjoy "Tenet" to the fullest, we recommend heading to your nearest IMAX digital theater, as it is designed to be viewed on the Big IMAX screen.

As is well known, Nolan has brought filming and screening in IMAX, the largest image format in history, to the field of commercial feature films, developing a visual experience with a high event-like quality. In addition, it has a traditional huge square screen with an angle of view of 1:1.43. The screening experience on this screen that plays with your field of vision makes the most of Nolan's inclination to frame his own extraordinary ideas in his own work.

This can only be experienced in two full IMAX auditoriums in Japan (Grand Cinema Sunshine in Ikebukuro, Tokyo and 109 Cinemas Osaka Expocity in Osaka), so if you want to get the full experience of this film, I recommend making a trip there.

This film is a mixed format, with the action parts being mainly IMAX and the dialogue-focused drama parts being mainly widescreen, resulting in an extreme difference in the angle of view. However, in the case of full-frame IMAX, this image difference actually helps to create excitement by creating strong and weak transitions that give an impact. It's a bit of a connoisseur's pleasure, but the auditorium makes it possible.

Aside from the choice of theater, it is likely that Nolan's own status that made the experimental approach mentioned above possible. Originally an arthouse filmmaker, he was able to rise to the grounds of major Hollywood films, using his commercial contributions to Warner Bros. Pictures as a token of appreciation. And by taking the initiative in production, he was able to push through risky projects led by the filmmaker.
