Questions about the Space Jockey left behind

``Some painters simply start painting and finish painting to complete a work. Others start with a sketch. The same is true for movies. The questions you ask are revealed. That's what happened with `` Alien '' (1979).''

When I asked director Ridley Scott what inspired him to make Prometheus(2012), these were the first words he said to me.

How should we continue the ``Alien'' series, which continued from the first movie in 1979 until the fourth movie in 1997? In 2002, talks began between Ridley Scott and James Cameron, with Ridley directing and Sigourney Weaver starring in a revival of Ripley. However, it was discovered that 20th Century Fox was working on a project called `` Alien vs. Predator '' (2004), and Cameron withdrew from the ``Alien'' book series.

The latest installment of Alien, which was originally titled ``Paradise,'' was directed by Carl Ridley, who works at RSA Films, the production company he founded with his brother Tony Scott. It was Rinsh. At the time, he was dating Ridley's daughter, Jordan, and later became her son-in-law. It was also a selection based entirely on ``nepotism,'' but Fox firmly opposed this. Ridley will take over the megaphone.

For Ridley, the biggest question he left behind in ``Alien'' was ``that big thing lying on that chair.'' In other words, it's the remains of a space jockey. When making 1979's Alien, 20th Century Fox and Ridley reportedly had a conflict over the inclusion of a space jockey. Over 30 years later, that creepy creature that was half-forcibly inserted has become the motif for a new work.

"At first, no one asked me what the hell Space Jockey was, so I kept quiet. But behind the scenes, there were rumors that we were creatures of biology, or that there was a God. "Was it a being created by some kind of higher-level extraterrestrial life form? That's the kind of question it was. That's why I decided to use ``Prometheus'' to answer that question," Ridley explained.

As a result, ``Prometheus'' begins with a scene in what appears to be 4 billion years BC, when a mysterious creator-like being, the Engineer, appears. From there, time moves forward into the future, with the discovery of ancient ruins in 2089, and the arrival of the space exploration vessel Prometheus on the planet in 2093, leading to a shocking battle between the crew and terrifying life forms.
