The charm of Freddy, the talkative murderer

Speaking of the most popular killers in horror movies, Jason from the `` Friday the 13th '' (1980) series is probably the most popular. Other actors include Leatherface in " The Texas Chain Saw Massacre " (1974) and Michael Myers in " Halloween " (78). Alien from the `` Alien '' (79) series: There are various popular ``killers'' such as xenomorphs and Dawn of the Dead. What they have in common is that they don't talk.

I don't know what you're thinking. I can't even try to persuade them because I can't seem to understand their language. They are mysterious and frightening beings, imbued with mysticism as they silently approach us.

“Friday the 13th” preview

Freddy Krueger, on the other hand, speaks well. He casually throws out words that rub salt on the complexes and traumas of the young people he targets, mixed with vulgar jokes.

If you are a ``murderer who doesn't speak,'' the murderous intent directed at you may be due to discommunication, and you may be saved if there is mutual understanding. There is such hope. However, when dealing with a ``talking killer'' who clearly expresses his intent to kill through words, he cannot be saved unless he escapes or is defeated.

What's more, Freddy is a dream-like being, and he takes advantage of that characteristic by harassing him and killing him using magic-like techniques, like rolling him in the palm of his hand. However, it is the fluffy young people who are killed. The emotions of the audience watching here undergo a change that can be described as a ``reversal.''

I no longer sympathize with young people who are killed. He leans in to Freddy's side and enjoys indulging in his sadistic thoughts as he makes fun of the fluffy young man and kills him.

Jason and Michael Myers also kill fluffy young men, but because they don't speak, they do their work silently and have a stoic demeanor that makes them difficult to approach. On the other hand, Freddy's appearance of talking and having fun killing young people makes him easy to relate to, and it can be said that he stands out from other "murderer" stars.

Freddy Krueger's unique charm made ``A Nightmare on Elm Street'' a huge hit.
