Capture passing time in film and create a moment that will last forever.

Wong Kar-wai's characteristics as a writer are manifested in his attention to time and place.

In ``Days of Being Wild,'' Su Lichen's love story begins when Yodi, with whom she had barely spoken before, calls out to her and asks her to look at the clock with him. "On April 16, 1960, one minute before 3:00, you were with me. I will never forget this minute." After a minute of magic, Sue falls in love and surrenders to him. Later on, after Yodi happens to have an affair with the dancer Mimi, that minute becomes like a curse on her. If we hadn't spent that one minute together at that time, I wouldn't have thrown myself into the pain of love like this. Wong Kar-wai is a genius at capturing the moment of falling in love on film.

The scene where he meets Mimi is also vivid. Enraged when her adoptive mother's young mistress steals her adoptive mother's earrings, Yodi brutally beats him up in the dressing room of her adoptive mother's nightclub. At that time, Mimi, who happened to be in the dressing room, gets lost in the crowd and puts the pearl in her bag, but Yodi sees through her and takes it back. But in an instant, he hands one of them to her and invites her, ``If you want the other one, come with me.'' Any woman can't help but fall in front of Leslie Cheung, who plays Yoday, and her cool appearance. The moment Mimi receives the earring that was thrown to her, she is already under Yodi's magic.

However, the love portrayed by Wong Kar-wai does not last. Their thoughts are always one-sided, and they will never pass each other. This is because, before they fall in love, they have a huge gap in their own identity and are left feeling lonely and unsatisfied through love. This drama of eternal unrequited love was later succeeded by `` Chungking Express '', `` Happy Together '', and `` In the Mood for Love ''.
