Speaking of Al Pacino...

There are movies that stick in your mind even though you've only seen them once. Everyone has works like this. So how is this kind of relationship between the work and the audience created?

The reasons may vary, such as ``It depicts a theme that interests me,'' ``There is a scene that was traumatic...'' ``There was a line that I will never forget,'' and so on. When it comes to relationships with movies like this, there are bound to be some movies where the reason is ``the actors' acting was amazing.'' Here, I would like to say a few words about ``Scent of a Woman'' (1992), which is such a work for me.

This film was directed by Martin Brest, who directed `` Beverly Hills Cop '' (1984) and `` Midnight Run '' (1988), and stars the famous actor Al Pacino. At the 65th Academy Awards, the film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Actor, with Al Pacino winning the Best Actor Award. By then, he had been nominated for an Oscar for a number of his masterpieces, including `` The Godfather '' (1972), `` Serpico '' (1973), `` The Godfather Part II '' (1974), and `` Dog Day Afternoon '' (1975). However, none of them won any awards. This film, ``Scent of a Woman,'' earned her her first Oscar.

“Scent of a Woman” preview

Whether you like Al Pacino or not, there are few people who would disagree with considering him one of the greatest actors of our time. For me, who has watched most of Al Pacino's films from behind the scenes, award winnings are just information about individual films, and have little meaning as proof of Al Pacino's greatness as an actor. . Rather, his first starring role, `` The Streets of Sorrow '' (1971), which had an outstanding fresh presence, and `` Scarface '' (1983), which has captivated movie lovers all over the world, and the confrontation with Robert De Niro. `` Heat '' (1995), which was the first to be realized, is more deeply engraved in my memory. Personally, I think Scarecrow (1973), in which he co-starred with Gene Hackman, is one of the best films of all time, and the lion played by Al Pacino is my favorite movie character.

However, the role of Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in ``Scent of a Woman'' is a character that no one will forget once they have seen it. And it is equally connected to the movie ``Scent of a Woman'', which once you see it, you will never forget it.
