Nancy Meyers' ``The Something's Gotta Give'' sparked a revolution in the romantic comedy industry.

Nancy Meyers began her career as a screenwriter in the 1980s.
The director is Nancy Meyers, who has directed many masterpieces such as `` The Holiday '' (2006) and ` `The Intern '' (2015), and is considered a master of romantic comedies along with Nora Ephron. Meyers is eight years younger than her, but both are female directors who have been active as screenwriters since the 1980s in Hollywood, an overwhelmingly male-dominated society, and have since become directors. However, unlike Efron, who was a former The Journalist and made his name as a scriptwriter for social dramas, Meyers, who began his career working on a TV quiz show, was a scriptwriter with a reputation for comedy from the beginning.
` `Private Benjamin '' (directed by Howard Sieff, 1980), Myers' first film co-writing, is a comedy about the naive daughter of a rich man, played by Goldin Hawn, who enlists in the military and causes a commotion. Myers, who received great acclaim for this film, went on to work on comedy films such as `` Baby Prefers the Top Ladies '' (directed by Charles Shire, 1987) and `` Daddy of the Bride '' (directed by Charles Shire, 1991). He established himself as a screenwriter.

When Meyers was in his late 40s and had finished raising his children, he made his directorial debut with the comedy ` `The Family The Game' ' (1998), in which Lindsay Lohan played twins. He then directed ` `Heart of a Woman'' (2000), a comedy about a man who suddenly becomes able to read women's minds. The film, co-starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt, was a huge success at the box office, establishing Myers as a female director capable of making hit films. His third directorial work, ``The Something's Gotta Give,'' was a success, and he has since continued to release directorial works such as ``Holiday'' (2006), `` Koisuru Bakery '' (2009), and ``The Intern'' (15).
