The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun
review
Synopsis
The story is set in the editorial department of French Dispatch magazine in a fictional town in 20th century France. This magazine is published by a branch of an American newspaper company, and is filled with talented journalists with a variety of quirks, gathered by a famous American-born editor-in-chief. It has gained popularity for its one-of-a-kind articles that deeply explore everything from international issues to art, fashion to gourmet food. However, the editor-in-chief suddenly died of heart palsy while working, and his will decided to close down the publication. What is the story of this last and unexpectedly funny, and unexpectedly tear-jerking, memorial issue for the editor-in-chief, who never knows what will pop out?
