A shocking way to start. ``Take Care of My Cat'' (2001) begins abruptly with a group of five high school girls innocently playing around on a dock. A private atmosphere that feels like playing a film of memories on an old movie projector. High school girls join hands to sing and take steps. When Tae-hee (Bae Doo-na) takes a commemorative photo with a camera, the screen fades out with light that resembles exposure to film. In the next scene, the film captures a slum scene. A building with broken windows. In this scene with the caption "A few months The Day After," the sparkling scenery of youth has completely disappeared. The beginning of this film, which presents the polar opposites of life, signals the determination to depict women of our generation, who have not been depicted on film until now, and is a film by young filmmakers and their friends. It is also a declaration.

This film by Jung Jae-woong is a monumental work that has become a guidepost for Korean female filmmakers. She continues to earn a great deal of respect from subsequent female filmmakers, such as Kim Bora, who directed `` Hachidori '' (2018). To mark the 20th anniversary of the film's first release, an archive book containing the film's original script, stills from filming, storyboards, etc. has been published.
