“Everything Everywhere All at Once” An unprecedented multiverse movie that breaks the curse of “family” *Note! Contains spoilers.
Will toy “eyeballs” save the world?
On the other hand, a toy with an eyeball called the "Google Eye" appears as the opposite of the negative symbol of the bagel. Tracing its origins, it appears that it was developed by Suzusei Sogo Co., Ltd. in Japan in the 1940s for doll eyeballs, but it has little to do with this manuscript.
The one that appears in the movie is a thin transparent dome with a black eyeball inside. It has a sticker on the back, and Waymond puts it on laundry wrappers and around the house. Waymond's intentions are more than a light joke, and he wants to make Evelyn feel at ease, but he ends up only making Evelyn more irritated.
Both googly eyes and bagels are circular, but in contrast to black bagels, they have a white outer periphery and a black center. Unlike a bagel, which is empty when you stare at it, the Googly Eye has a substance in its center that is staring back at you.

In this film, Evelyn, Joy, and Waymond all live their lives feeling like they are trash or are treated like trash. Although each person's position and thoughts may be different, the fact that they are essentially unhappy remains the same. Evelyn laments that she has wasted her life by making poor choices, Joy despairs that her mother refuses to see her true self, and Waymond feels that his wife Evelyn looks down on him.
However, no matter how roughly Evelyn treats him, Waymond never stops watching over her. His true nature is that of a ``watcher,'' and that doesn't change when it comes to Joy. The reason why Waymond wears a pig charm on his waist bag, which is the same as Joy's tattoo (pig), may be because he wants to convey his feelings of being close to his daughter. Even if it's too small an appeal.
By the way, there is a line in the movie where Evelyn mentions that Joy's tattoo "represents family." The concept of a pig as a symbol of home comes from the kanji for ``house''. This is because a ``house'' is made up of a ``kanmuri'' (roof) and a ``pig'' (pig), and Joy makes fun of her family, saying that they are pigs who don't feel safe because they don't have a roof. For Joy, whose mother is always quick to ask, ``Have you gained weight?'', this can be said to be quite harsh self-deprecation.

What makes this film unique among many other family stories is that it features Evelyn as the main character, who has essentially become a toxic parent and a toxic wife. To put it in an extreme, the villain in this story is not Job Tupaki. Evelyn (and even her toxic parent, Gongon) is the villain who should be defeated by the younger generation. If the standard pattern of family dramas is for immature children to confront and overcome their controlling parents, this film deliberately turns that pattern on its head.
Ultimately, Waymond's kindness and kindness become the catalyst that rescues Evelyn from the void. However, it is clear from the fact that Waymond had prepared divorce papers that he was not without feelings of emptiness and despair (though in truth he wanted to discuss the marital relationship by bringing up divorce). . Waymond from another version, where Evelyn becomes a successful movie star, reunites with Evelyn, who he once broke up with, but they decide to break up again for fear of hurting each other. Waymond's heart is also full of scars.
People live their lives unknowingly hurting those close and dear to them. Although this film is disguised as a science fiction action comedy, it does not hide from the harshness and cruelty of human relationships in everyday life, which may be one of the reasons why it was so popular.
