“(500) Days of Summer” Synopsis

Tom Hansen (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a writer and aspiring architect who works for a greeting card company, is a herbivore who loves music. On his first day, he falls in love with Summer Finley (Zooey Deschanel), who has joined the company as his boss's assistant. On the fourth day, Summer hears a song leaking from Tom's headphones in the elevator, and the two start talking. On the 28th day, at karaoke, Tom learns that Summer doesn't have a boyfriend. He starts dating a girlfriend who says, ``I don't want a girlfriend,'' as friends. On the 34th day, the two enjoy playing ``just married'' with the furniture on display at IKEA. To Tom's excitement, Summer says, ``I don't want to get into a serious relationship,'' and Tom can't help but reply, ``I'm fine with a casual relationship.'' On the 109th day, Summer invites Tom into her room for the first time, and it seems that their relationship will quickly develop...

Red, blue, and yellow tend to be the focal point of your work.

There are movies that emphasize the ``colors'' that the director was particular about.

For example, Steven Spielberg's `` Schindler's List .'' You may be wondering why there is so much emphasis on color in this film, which is basically a black and white movie except for the last part. There is a moment when "color" suddenly appears (this partial color technique was previously used in Akira Kurosawa's " Heaven and Inferno "). A candle flame and a Jewish girl's coat. The two places are colored red. The thoughts that Spielberg put into ``Red'' stimulate the imagination of each viewer. Is it a symbol of life in war? Or is it an expression of purity?

Ever since the master director Yasujiro Ozu started shooting in color, he had a habit of always using red props (such as a kettle) to accent his shots. In Ozu's case, rather than entrusting the theme to the color red, it was simply a result of thinking about the sense of balance in the image.

This "color" has become famous in recent years, "Kitano Blue". Director Takeshi Kitano used a lot of things early in his career, such as the bluish screen tones and blue props. Director Kitano was inspired by the subdued blue of rain-soaked concrete in the final scene of ` `That Summer, The Quietest Sea ,'' and in `` Sonatine ,'' director Kitano took on the challenge of creating an expression that was conscious of blue. Although many other colors are used in this work, blue stands out overall.

Speaking of blue, Moonlight , which won the Academy Award for Best Picture, uses a lot of footage that emphasizes the blue color in the first of the three parts of the film, when the boy is a boy. The theme was that the main character's black skin changes tone under blue light, and that human skin color and preferences are a matter of the viewer's consciousness.

Another director who is extremely particular about color in each of his films is Wes Anderson. The style of ` `The Grand Budapest Hotel '' that emphasizes colors such as pink (boxes of sweets) and yellow (hotel reception) continues from the early `` The Royal Tenenbaums '' (red jerseys, yellow tents, etc.). It continues.
