The more humorous it is, the more painful and sad it becomes. Are you laughing? Are you crying? Or is it screaming? There's something sad about Pearl (Mia Goth), even during a brutal, pitchfork-swinging murder scene. The more brutal the murder, the more weakness Pearl reveals. Pearl is a "captive woman" on a Texas farm. The conversations I have with my mother, who always gives me detailed orders in a commanding tone, are not communicating at all. Although she outwardly pretends to be obedient to her situation, inside she burns with an unusual sense of rebellion.

Paint it Red! Paint It Blood! Pearl Mia Goth, wearing a red dress, dyes the entire world red. Every time Pearl is faced with a case that doesn't go as planned, she explodes with emotions that seem to be a mixture of joy, anger, and sadness. For Pearl, who aspires to be an actor, emotional outbursts may be connected to "performance." This is because "performance" is the only way for Pearl to connect with the world. She hopes to be loved by people all over the world through her "performances." However, Pearl cannot control her emotions. I can't turn it on and off. And things don't go exactly as she expected. Perhaps Pearl feels that someone is interfering with her life.

Mia Goth's performance in ``Pearl'' (22) is overwhelming. The feverish behavior of the heroine, Pearl, has something in common with the humor of the great comedians of silent films. Pearl, played by Mia Goth, exudes the sadness of life with serious humor. Pearl, don't go there! Before I knew it, I found myself empathizing with the heroine.

Mia Goth was wonderful in her previous film " X " (2022), which was set in 1979 and reminded me of a porn star like Linda Lovelace in "Deep Throat" (1972), but the film is set in 1918, more than half a century ago. Mia Goth in this work, which is set in 2017, is absolutely wonderful. Pearl admires the chorus dancers in movies. The film begins with a shot of a barn door opening. This first shot loudly signals the beginning of Mia Goth-Pearl's performance. This is Mia Goth's first screenplay.
