Synopsis
In November 1979, a major incident that shocked the entire world occurred and will remain in history. In Iran, where revolution is raging, extremists attack the American embassy and take the embassy staff hostage. Their demand was for the extradition of the former king, who had fled to the United States due to his mismanagement. Amid the chaos, six people escaped through the back door and hid in the Canadian ambassador's house, but if they were found, they would definitely be publicly executed. CIA hostage retrieval expert Tony Mendez is called in to break out of the hopeless situation. Tony's ``great idea'' is to plan a fake movie, turn the six people into film crew members who came to scout locations, and have them leave the country. John Chambers, a leading expert in special makeup who won an Academy Award for ``Planet of the Apes,'' cooperated, and in the blink of an eye, a producer and script were prepared, and a grand press conference for the sci-fi fantasy ``Argo'' was held. Ta. A Hollywood operation with a 72-hour time limit has begun, deceiving not only Iran but also the United States! However, the six people rebel against the idea that they will definitely find out, Iran realizes that there is an escapee, and in the midst of tensions, the CIA orders them to stop the operation!
