Which will Jesse choose?

As the time to go to the airport approaches, the two arrive at Celine's apartment. The residents are having a party in the garden, but instead of participating, they go into their rooms. By the way, the elderly couple in the garden are Julie Delpy's real parents.

At Jesse's request, Celine picks up her guitar and plays a song she wrote. The lyrics seem to be about that night nine years ago. And Jesse's name appears in the lyrics. In the previous work , an improvisational poet who was in Vienna performed a poem that he had thought up for the two of them, and Jesse suspected, ``Maybe they just applied our words to a poem that had already been completed,'' but... When I ask Celine exactly the same question, she laughs wickedly and says, ``You know what? I thought this song was for you?''

When Jesse plays music on the player in the room, the song " Just In Time " sung by jazz singer Nina Simone comes on. "Baby, you're going to be late for your flight," Celine announces, playfully but captivatingly imitating a Nina Simone performance she once saw at a concert. Jesse laughs and says, ``I know,'' and the scene cuts to Celine dancing, and at that moment of indescribable euphoria, the movie suddenly comes to an end. In the end, the important part remains unspoken, like at the end of the previous film, whether Jesse headed to the airport after this or decided to stay with his girlfriend.
