What is the unfathomable fear that lurks in everyday life that Roman Polanski captures in "Rosemary's Baby"? *Note! Contains spoilers.

Polanski's clever misleading
From the moment they move into their apartment, Rosemary and her husband Guy are troubled by the overly kind behavior of their elderly neighbor, Roman Castavet and his wife Minnie. It was shocking that the couple's adopted daughter, Teresa, who they met in the laundry room, suddenly committed suicide by throwing herself, but as soon as Rosemary became pregnant, they presented her with a pendant containing a smelly medicinal herb, which was said to be effective for pregnant women. Rosemary is also quite exhausted from having to deliver bad drinks every day.
Furthermore, the elderly couple forcefully replaces Rosemary's trusted obstetrician with an old friend. What I don't understand the most is that since they met, Gai has been at the mercy of the two of them. When I think about it, it was not long after they met that Guy, who was a struggling actor, got a Being There due to his rival's blindness.

There comes a moment when the growing doubts turn into certainty. Rosemary's acquaintance, Hutch, entrusted Rosemary with the family tree of the demons that exist in this world in exchange for his life.
Polanski strictly adheres to the one-shot, two-cut method for each scene, and depicts the process of how an ordinary everyday life is subsumed into darkness from Rosemary's perspective, without any hints of humor. It's cutting. That's amazing. The existence of annoying neighbors, the coincidence of tragic events that we see and hear every day, and the way that the suspicions and fantasies that we all have are brought to life by information brought to us by others are very human. I no longer think so. It's a bit scary ``everyday life''.
