Synopsis
Hannay, a diplomat who returned from Canada, was watching Mr. Memory's show at a vaudeville theater in London. At that moment, a gunshot suddenly ensues, and a mysterious woman asks for help and takes her back to her room, but the woman is killed by someone. He himself is forced to go on the run, and takes a train to Scotland, relying on the few clues he has to track down the real culprit.
