creepy and funny people

In contrast to these animal characters are the humans, including the farmer. The three farmers, Boggis, Vance, and Bean, are Mr. Fox's enemies and the motivations for his actions. Each gigantic farm (chicken farm, goose farm, apple orchard) reminds Mr. Fox of the excitement of stealing.

It's a complete change from the simple and cute illustrations by Quentin Blake in the original work, and the humans have quite realistic faces, but their heads and bodies are still comically and interestingly shaped (the three farmers The main characters are obese, petite, and thin.) The most eye-catching thing is the elastic texture of the skin, which is even more vivid due to the wrinkles and facial expressions carved into it that don't give the slightest hint of cuteness.

While the animals, including Mr. Fox, are depicted as human-like, the farm owners, who are originally human, have gone from being greedy yet goofy and charming in the original work to being ugly, frightening, and darkly human. It has been adapted into a character that gives you a feeling of being. Of course, the details of the lives of the humans are so detailed that you want to see every nook and cranny, and the atmosphere is good, and the costumes of the farm owners also give you a sense of the care they put into it, giving you the feeling that they are something of a quality that cannot be dismissed as just a hated enemy. It also seems to be Wes's work.

The contrast between the animals with fluffy fur and the humans with realistic skin matches the story, but the contrast between the two also lends itself to `` Isle of Dogs ,'' which depicts the relationship between dogs and humans. (In Isle of Dogs, the human hair was also transplanted to update the texture). Both the animals and humans are well-sculpted without looking like characters, and it feels like an illustration drawn with a somewhat natural touch, and the atmosphere fits well with the painterly images.

The backgrounds, props, scenes, dolls, and the costumes they wear are all overflowing with charm, and the delicate attention to the smallest things is what makes Wes Anderson and stop-motion animation so compatible. Feel. At the same time, the shading that is unique to puppet animation that uses real dolls shows us the high affinity with Roald Dahl's literature, which has both warmth and sharpness. `` Giant Peach '' and ``Fantastic Mr. Fox'' are two of my favorite Dahl literary adaptations.
