"God of Mischief" captured by a strange government office
It's already difficult to answer the question of which movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) I like the most, but now I've added one more to my favorite movie. And despite its name, it is not a movie, but a drama series.
In " Avengers: End The Game ," the Disney+ original drama series "Loki" is caught up in the operation of the Avengers who have traveled back in time immediately after the battle in New York (at the time of the first " Avengers "), and is destroyed by a four-dimensional cube. The story depicts what happens after Loki runs away from the scene with the Loki escapes from the hands of his brother Thor and the rest of the Avengers, but soon an organization called the Time Mutation Enforcement Agency (TVA) appears and captures him for disrupting the sacred timeline. .
In reality, there are an infinite number of universes, and an omniscient and omnipotent "Timekeeper" has unified the multiverse into a single timeline. Loki was originally supposed to be captured by the Avengers and sent back to his hometown of Asgard, but he escapes with the 4D cube, deviating from the original scenario. Therefore, TVA came to ``prun'' the newly branched timeline. By the way, according to TVA, the Avengers' time travel itself seems to be standard, with Loki's actions being the only irregularity. For example, Doraemon coming to Nobita is normal, but it is a crime for a villain to hunt dinosaurs. That's why Loki is captured by this time patrol-like organization, but eventually he is asked to cooperate in pursuit of a "mutant" who, like himself, has disrupted the timeline. Maybe Loki can stop the mutant. That was no surprise, the other person was Loki from another universe...
I had high expectations just because the main character was the charming Loki played by Tom Hiddleston (he was a big favorite among Marvel dramas on Disney Plus), but I was first drawn in by the design of the TVA organization. Although it is an organization that travels back and forth through time and space and monitors it, its headquarters is a sci-fi government office with a retro office atmosphere, a Marvel version of the barren government office that appeared in " Brazil ". Something like that. The interior is warmly colored, a large computer with rounded corners, a black telephone, a control panel with thick keys, and the monitor is, of course, a cathode ray tube, but even though it is full of low-tech equipment, it is also amazing how it can play holograms. Funny government offices, high-tech disguises, Fleischer Studios-style cartoon animation, and plenty of personal favorites, all of which convinced me that this was definitely going to be interesting.
