De Niro and Pacino's gorgeous collaboration, Scorsese staff

This movie was originally planned to be about Robert De Niro, but he ended up teaming up with Al Pacino, a star from his generation, and his dream of co-starring in a Scorsese film for the first time became a reality. The two first met in the 1970s, and seem to have been friends for a long time . (played in his younger days).

The two also auditioned for `` The Dark Side '' (1971) and `` The Godfather '' (1972) (Pacino ended up getting the role in both). In an interview published in Variety, Pacino said, ``In the '70s, we were always competing for the same roles,'' and De Niro admitted, ``Yes, we were rivals.''

The first real collaboration between the two was `` Heat '' (1995). Unlike De Niro, who was a regular in Scorsese's films, this was the first time Scorsese and Pacino had met. However, he had actually been talking about making a movie for some time, and had even planned a film with the painter Modigliani as the main character.

Regarding this film, when the director approached De Niro, who is close to Pacino, he said, ``I'm sure he would be fine,'' and he decided to play the role of Hoffa. When watching videos of press conferences and other events, Pacino has a flamboyant atmosphere and speaks loudly, while De Niro appears to be quiet and reserved. Pacino plays the charismatic and uncontrollable Hoffa, while De Niro plays the sober and faithful Sheeran. The two characters are probably reflected in that.

Joe Pesci, who had recently retired from the film industry, played the role of Sheeran's boss-like Buffalino, but Pesci kept refusing the role (it is said that he turned it down 50 times). Scorsese explained that it was different from the hot-blooded roles Pesci had played in `` Goodfellas '' and `` Casino ,'' and with De Niro's intercession, he finally decided to star in the role. Also in charge of general direction). In the end, Pesci gave a good performance, and it has become his new masterpiece.

The Scorsese family also stars Harvey Keitel as gangster Bruno. Although he appears only briefly, his presence adds further depth to the film. Among actresses, Anna Paquin leaves a lasting impression as Sheeran's daughter Peggy. Although she has few appearances and few lines, she expresses the complex inner feelings of a daughter by directing her stern gaze at her father. Her presence reveals the killer's remorse.

Since this is a masterpiece that can be said to be the culmination of Scorsese's gangster films, there are many members of the Scorsese family in addition to the actors. Cinematographer Rodrico Prieto has worked with Scorsese for the fifth time, production designer Bob Shaw four times, costume designer Sandy Powell seven times, producer Emma Tillinger Koskoff more than ten times, and editor Thelma Schoonmaker, the author of the event, has participated nearly 30 times. As for the actors, De Niro will be participating for the 9th time as mentioned above, Pesci will be participating for the 4th time, and Keitel will be participating for the 6th time.

The movie depicts the trust and betrayal of the gang, but one of the reasons for the movie's success is the strong bond between the actors and staff.
