Monsters are everywhere...

This work was a great success and went on to take on a life of its own, but as mentioned earlier, the distributor of this work did not sign normal contract terms, so despite it being a huge hit, the cast did not receive any financial returns. Apparently there wasn't one at all. What's more, the actor who played Leatherface was portrayed as a splatter killer with the utmost brutality, even though he hardly ever showed any actual killings. After that, he was flooded with similar roles and was having a hard time as an actor.

Many of the actors and staff's subsequent lives were affected by this work, to a greater or lesser extent. Director Tobe Hooper himself would continue to be expected to surpass his first film for the rest of his life. This work, which was an extension of an independent film and was made with thorough attention to detail, grew into a monster and became a one-of-a-kind work, and those around it began to demand an even greater impact.

Unique aesthetics such as the official sequel `` The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 2 '' (1986), `` Poltergeist '' (1982) produced by Spielberg, and ` `Space Vampire '' (1985), which was adapted from Colin Wilson's original work. Although he continued to produce works overflowing with passion, he passed away in 2017, with much anticipation for his next work.

“Poltergeist” preview

This production's high level of calculation and improvisation is difficult to imitate, so even after more than 40 years, the production style doesn't seem outdated and is still scary enough. I would like to recommend it to those who haven't seen it, but the moment I tell them the title ``The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,'' I often get a look that looks like I've bitten a bitter insect.

I think the original title "THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE" is a better title because it has a stronger documentary feel, so I would like them to switch back from the Japanese title to the original title... Well, both are good. mosquito.
